Since 1982, MBAA has provided the city's first community-based performing and visual arts incubator - the FireHouse Community Arts Center which houses a gallery, dance
studio/mini-theater,
workshops and music studios. Also home to the FireHouse Community Arts Academy, a
year-round,
evening and Saturday community arts schools for children and adults teaching ballet, tap dance, piano, voice, painting, drawing, photography, acting and more.
Pink Palace Family of Museums
Welcome to the Pink Palace Family of Museums, a wide-ranging collection of historic, educational, and technological attractions maintained by the City of Memphis, Tennessee and Memphis Museums, Inc. Some of the finest attractions and exhibits in the country are operated by the Museum Family, including the Pink Palace Museum, the Crew Training International IMAX Theatre, the Sharpe Planetarium, The Lichterman Nature Center and the historic Mallory Neely and Magevney Houses. The Pink Palace Museum, the Sharpe Planetarium and the Crew Training International IMAX Theatre are accredited members of the American Alliance of Museums.
